Our current corps of volunteers include our Board members, Guild members, and our valued community members.
We are actively looking for more volunteers, to serve on our board and committees, to help with public relations and marketing, to assist in event administration and fundraising, to furnish creative skills, to fulfill the various arts and crafts for stage productions, etc.
Rogue Opera, which will celebrate its 35th anniversary in 2011, has been sustained over the years by the generosity of individuals and businesses such as yours that share a love of arts and culture, the desire to engage young people in arts and culture, and to encourage future generations of singers, directors, conductors, producers, classical musicians, set designers, costumers, lighting designers and the many other artistic personnel involved in opera and music theater. As you know, funding for the arts has diminished drastically. Ticket sales cover only 40-50% of the cost of a production; the remaining money must come from sponsorships, memberships, and individual contributors.
