Rogue Opera was founded in 1976 by Dr. Ray Tumbleson, whose vision was to create a regional opera company that would utilize local talent to present high quality opera to regional audiences. Thirty five years later, that vision has been realized. With over 1,000 Opera in the Schools and main stage productions, Rogue Opera has become a treasure in the arts community.

MISSION STATEMENT

Rogue Opera’s mission is to present high quality opera to regional audiences, to train young performers, and to direct its resources into the education and enrichment of our youth and community.

VISION STATEMENT

Our vision is the ongoing development of Rogue Opera as a self-sustaining, dynamic, high quality, regional, small market opera company deeply involved in the enrichment of the quality of life of the community and youth in southern Oregon and northern California by providing high quality, exciting, main stage opera and school performances while serving as a training ground for promising young performers.
