Jim Collier hosted a lovely Christmas Party on December 17th, with the help of Rogue Opera, Laurie Hunter, vocal ensemble Raiders of the Lost Art, low string trio The Elephants, the Rogue Valley Manor staff, and his many friends. The snacks and desserts were delicious, the entertainment was sublime, and the warm feelings of the season radiated throughout the room. Thanks to Jim for all he does for the arts and the entire community of the Rogue Valley.

Rogue Opera young veteran Koral Aakre performed at the Jackson County Cultural Coalition Grant Awards ceremony December 13th, where Rogue Opera was awarded a grant to assist with the production of this year's Opera in the Schools presentation of Pinocchio.

Rogue Opera's Opera in the Schools program has begun rehearsals of Pinocchio. Andrea Shupack plays Pinocchio, Kendra Taylor is Olympia and the Old Blue Lady, Michael J Morgan-Serface is Gepetto and the Cat, and Steven Gutierrez plays Dr. Dulcamara and the Wolf. Andrew Brock is the director of the program and the production, and James Ward is the technical director and stage manager.
